A MEMORABLE FINAL
Past Captain Angus Hay retained the Webster Baillie Trophy, our club championship, by defeating Alan Baird two holes up in a memorable final over the Championship Course.
In a ding-dong match, with some excellent golf, the lead changed hands several times before Angus won the 17th and 18th to clinch the game.
Alan was not to be outdone for memorable shots, particularly his drive (from the back tee) on the fourth which finished on the mound beside the greenside front left bunker and a chip shot in for a two from off the green at the 13th.
Records are still being checked, but this is believed to be Angus's fifth club championship triumph.
