SENIORS CELEBRATE
Despite a doubtful weather forecast and winter temporary greens, there was a good turnout of Seniors for the Christmas golf and lunch.
In the end, all got round dry - which is more than can be said for one or two who lingered on in the bar after the lunch.
The main aim of the day was fun and relaxation, but for the record the winner of the Stableford competition over 13 holes of the Burnside Course was Mike Swanston. Thanks to the generosity of Donald Ford, prizes went all the way down to seventh.
The "competitive" golfers were joined for lunch by a welcome number of non-combatants. These included Bob Wilson who did the really hard job of checking the scorecards and working out the prizes.
It has been suggested that one or two members should ask Santa Claus for a Christmas gift of a little book entitled Stableford Golf Made Simple!
Many thanks to all who took part....and a Merry Christmas to Seniors of all ages!
